School of CS & IT organizing Workshop on ‘Community Radio Technology’ from 23-26 June, 2015

Uttarakhand Open University (UOU) uses novel educational programmes, various modes of communication technology and contact sessions to make distance learning more effective. The major objective of the University is to cater to the educational needs of the target groups to create skilled and knowledge based human resource for speedy upliftment and development of the State. The University aims to impart quality education by maintaining high academic standards.
The Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA) is an international organization established by the Commonwealth of Learning (COL), Vancouver, Canada, to promote the meaningful, relevant and appropriate use of ICTs to serve the educational and training needs of Commonwealth member states of Asia. CEMCA receives diplomatic privileges and immunities in India under section 3 of the United Nations (privileges and immunities) Act, 1947. The strategic objective of CEMCA is to promote co-operation and collaboration in the use of electronic media resources for distance education.

Uttarakhand Open University, in collaboration with CEMCA, is conducting 4 days workshop from 23-26 June, 2015 on “Community Radio Technology” for all the professionals, practitioners of Community Radio at Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani.
